Fly on Yellow-Flowered Shrub



I'll be honest: I don't have a problem with many insects, but I really think this fly is ugly.  For the life of me, I can not see the beauty in it.

Now, the shot, on the other hand, does present some intrigue.  The focus is perfectly set on the wings, allowing you to see the venation; and the plant itself presents its own story: it's the flower on which the fly is walking that is dying, not the other one.  I'd say it's best, though, to not read too much into it.
