Bamboo

I'm clarifying an earlier error.

Originally, I called this a shrub.  Then, when I noticed the structure of the shoot, I thought it was some type of grass, specifically a reed.  That was wrong, too, but surprisingly close.  When I conferred with someone that knew more about it than me, I was told it was a bamboo.  So, it is a grass, after all.

I want to say it's a Brachystachyum densiflorum, but I am not sure of it and so won't.
