These clouds are absolutely stunning. I call them mammatus clouds (or cumulonimbus mammatus), but I don't think you can technically call them that (they're only partly similar to cumulonimbus mammatus). Nevertheless, you can see the 3-minute evolution between the first and last image; two sections have joined. And if you have a look at the fifth image, with the building to the right, you can see that while the rain is coming down hard, the sky is relatively calm just a short distance away, and the three "spines" of the cloud form a U with an empty hole in the middle (exactly like a U).
